Spring has finally arrived (at least so it seems) so what better way to spend it than at the park. This is a shot of an old bridge within Heckscher Park in Huntington, N.Y.

The Cathedral of the Incarnation

Located in Garden City, NY. Spectacular both inside and out construction on this amazing cathedral was started in 1876. The cathedral was dedicated in 1885 and is truly a historic gem. The Cathedrail of the Incarnation is an Episcopal church and has a labrynth of sorts inside. When I entered the church organ music filled the interior and created a mood that I can only hope I recaptured here in this photo. After viewing this photo be sure to check out the exterior.

The Empire State

Here is a picture of the Empire State Building as seen from the Hudson River in New York City. This was taken as we departed on a cruise to Nova Scotia. It was a really great trip and made me realize one thing. Nova Scotia really is as beautiful as "they" say it is.

The Port

This is a picture that I had taken in July '09 during the Scott Kelby sponsored Worldwide Photowalk.

I was trying out the Topaz Detail 2 plug-in for Photoshop tonight and I thought this picture was a good candidate. This photo is a from single shot. The HDR effect is completely from the Topaz plug-in. You have the ability to ramp up or down the effect as much as you want. It can do a bunch of other effects for your photos as well. Not just this HDR look.

I am really impressed with the results. This is a fun plug-in at a great price.

Matt Moulson

I took this photo of Matt Moulson at an Islanders game a few weeks ago at Nassau Coliseum. Since Matt has been one of the best players the Islanders have this season I thought it would be fun to give this picture a little star treatment. It was an instant hit on my flickr page so I thought I would post it here too.
